First blog post for Calligraphy by Tammy

With blogging being all the rage, I have decided to share some of my calligraphy talents with potential customers and friends, through this unique way of expression.
The first page I shall share with you ...will be pictures of some of the things created by me for weddings. Wedding clients are my biggest portion of folks who order from me. I thought creating this blog might be a great way to share past work, samples of things they might be interested in, and just get a general feel for what I have to offer.

Welcome to my blog! I am Tammy, a Pittsburgh area Calligrapher with 24 years experience serving area brides. The formal proper way of addressing your invitations is by hand. I offer an affordable service and an array of fonts sure to please every bride and groom.
I am a stay at home Mom with an illness and doing this type of work offers me the ability to stay home with my children and work when I feel best. This also affords me the opportunity to offer you the BEST PRICES! With today's economy you can't afford to pay the top dollar. I want your work and consider it a privilege and honor to be included in your wedding plans. I know you won't be able to find the quality of workmanship along with the prices that I extend to my brides. My price may be the lowest in the city, but my work shows the experience of my years of writing for Pittsburgh brides as well as brides all over the U.S. Why pay more, when you can have it all? Great prices, years of experience and no extra hidden fees.
I am always willing to work with you to be certain you are satisfied with your order and your price. I also never nickel/dime you on the details of your pricing. I never charge set up fees, or rush fees, nor do I charge for colored inks (except gold/silver), or list maintenance fees, or for extra lines, etc. These are all things that most other calligraphers charge, but I only charge you per envelope, no matter how many lines are on it. This way you know exactly what your order will cost right up front. I am thrilled to get your work and don't need to add those petty little charges to your bill!
I offer a wide variety of services from addressing of wedding invitations, to creating unique place cards, to typesetting and assembly of beautiful wedding programs and elegant table names and numbers. I am available for on site "day of" wedding services. Having been a former floral designer, I have years of experience in servicing weddings. It's important to go with a calligrapher who has had years of perfecting their craft. I have had to fix another area calligrapher's mistakes on an order for a wedding planner and redo her entire order, because of that lack of experience. Make sure your calligrapher guarantees their work, so you don't have to reorder your envelopes because they have ruined them! Be careful to choose someone who has experience. It takes years of practice to hone the craft of calligraphy. With my services you receive that level of expertise.
